Superb pair of French art nouveau wrought iron thistles wall lights, sconces, attributed to Louis Majorelle, Ecole de Nancy.
Similar thistle sconces are seen in the art nouveau Museum of the 'Ecole de Nancy' (à Nancy); these were also attributed to Louis Majorelle (1859-1926).
They were a gift to the museum by the sublime art nouveau building 'Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie de Meurthe-et-Moselle' à Nancy. (see last 2 pictures!)
Rewired.
