Antique art nouveau MontJoye, St Denis glass vase with enamel pattern of poppies.
Frosted glass, thickly enameled and gold rehaussed leaves and rim. . This model with another decor is found in the 'Legras Verrier' book on page 191. (see picture, top right corner)
Some normal tiny nicks underneath. Great condition!!
Signed with the gold monk mark: Montjoye L & Cie, highly sought after by collectors, because this mark always appeared on high quality pieces!
The anecdote: 'Mont joye' (= my joy) was the rallying call of the French king's troops in the beginnning of the 12th century.
